Susana Gaudêncio

Susana Gaudêncio (Lisbon, 1977) has a degree in Painting from the University of Lisbon, an MFA from Hunter College (CUNY), New York, and a PhD from the same university. She has exhibited at institutions such as the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon), CAV (Coimbra), the Liverpool Biennial and the ISE Foundation (New York). Her solo exhibitions include: Época de estranheza em frente ao mundo (MNAC, 2012) and Chamber of Execution (Carlos Carvalho, 2011). She has taken part in several international group exhibitions. She is currently a researcher at the University of Lisbon and a lecturer at the School of Art and Design in Caldas da Rainha.
