After projects dedicated to the photography and video sections of its collection, the Foundation, in collaboration with the Museu da Cidade, organised the exhibition Ponto de vista (Point of view), curated by Miguel Amado. For the first time, the exhibition brings together works in different media by artists whose careers began or gained visibility between the early 1980s and the late 1990s.
They include Julião Sarmento, Pedro Calapez, Ângela Ferreira, João Louro, Joana Vasconcelos and João Pedro Vale. On the one hand, this exhibition provides an overview of the artistic trends in Portugal during this period, and on the other, it fulfils the PLMJ Foundation’s mission to promote contemporary artistic creation.
This exhibition project was realised in two spaces: the White Pavilion of the current Museu da Cidade and the PLMJ Foundation Exhibition Space, both in 2008.
