The five exhibitions held in two venues between 2006 and 2010 as part of the Foundation’s Options & Futures collection programme demonstrate the emerging practices of their authors in the works on display in each edition of this programme. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and video are the means of expression represented. It is in the plurality that defines this disciplinary spectrum and set of voices that the exhibition’s potential lies, since any possible organising principle would only reduce the discursive devices inherent in each intervention, as well as those resulting from their combination.
