This exhibition takes as its starting point the sculpture section of the PLMJ Foundation’s collection, recently examined in a book of the same name. The Sculpture section of the PLMJ Foundation’s collection includes a wide range of artists with different artistic practices and different media and techniques, demonstrating the Foundation’s special attention to technical processes and content whose references and contexts are important in contemporary artistic production.
In this sculptural centre, we’ll encounter this three-dimensional practice as a temporary, performative, transitory or permanent installation. It can be a printed edition, a model (or a model of a landscape), an object, an accrochage, an image or a drawing as a formulation of thought as a corporeality that, regardless of scale or proportion, constitutes a representation that intersects the space in which the viewer is positioned.
