Sofia Areal (Lisbon, 1960) trained at the Herefordshire College of Art & Design in the United Kingdom, where she studied Textile Design and the Foundation Course. In Portugal, she attended painting and printmaking workshops at Ar.Co.
Her individual exhibitions include Alta Voltagem I at Galeria São Mamede, Lisbon (2023); Be my guest at Galeria Pedro Oliveira, Porto (2021); and Sofia Areal - Printemps Luxembourg at the Portuguese Cultural Centre, Luxembourg (2019).
