Rita Cortez Pinto (Lisbon, 1977) is a creator and mediator of projects in which she combines art and education through fields such as drawing, paper, object books, printing techniques and mathematics. She has been exhibiting her work since 1999 and organising activities in different cultural institutions since 2002. She has a degree from Lisbon's Faculty of Architecture in Design Architecture, a degree from Ar.Co in Drawing and an advanced course in Visual Arts, and a Master's degree from Lisbon's Faculty of Fine Arts in Contemporary Typographic and Editorial Practices. Since 2003, she has collaborated with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, developing projects for the Gulbenkian Museum and the Modern Art Centre, for children, teenagers, adults, seniors and SEN audiences. She has also worked with various museums and cultural institutions: Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, Museu do Oriente, Egeac, Teatro Maria Matos, Almada Municipal Museums and Palácio Anjos. For all these places she has designed and developed artistic projects, workshops, guided tours and educational materials and tools.
