Raquel Gomes

Raquel Gomes was born in Aveiro (1977), where she lives and works. She graduated in sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto. She has been exhibiting regularly since 2001, among others at Intimidades, Galeria ArtContainer, Rome, 2007; A Idade da Inocência, Galeria Minimal, Porto, 2008; Arte Lisboa - Feira de Arte Contemporânea, 2003-2008. She is represented in collections and institutions such as the PLMJ Foundation and the Próxima Paragem Cultura initiative, Metro do Porto, Metropolitano de Lisboa and the Secretary of State for Transport, 2010. Her first public sculpture was installed in Figueira da Foz in 2011.
