Pedro Casqueiro (Lisbon, 1959) lives and works in Lisbon. He studied painting at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts (1981-1984). His solo exhibitions include Galeria Tempo (1981), Café Concerto (1982), Módulo - Centro Difusor de Arte (various editions between 1985 and 2002), Galeria Filomena Soares (2005, 2007 and 2010) and Galeria Miguel Nabinho (2018, 2019 and 2021). Casqueiro has participated in group exhibitions such as the Portuguese Representation at the XLII Venice Biennale (1986), Arte Portuguesa Hoy in Madrid (1989), Portuguese Contemporary Art at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation CAM (1992), Berado Museum (2010) and The Secret Life of Words in Sines (2010). Internationally, his work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro (1994), the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Gent (1991), the Akademie der Künste in Berlin (1998) and the Margaret Lipworth Gallery in Florida (1993). His works are included in important collections such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, EDP, the Serralves Museum and the Peter Meeker Collection, among others.
