Oliveira Tavares (Lisbon, 1961) lived in Brazil until the age of 10, returning to Portugal in 1971 to live in Santarém. From 2001 to 2005 he lived and worked in Paris and Brussels. Since 2008 he lives in Alentejo, Portugal. He attended the 4th year of the engineering course at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, the drawing course at Ar.Co and the art history course at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes. Printmaking workshop with Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos - Casa das Artes - Tavira. Member of the National Society of Fine Arts. Illustrated the poetry collection A Gaveta de Baixo by Rosa Lobato de Faria.
Represented in private collections in the United States, Brazil, England, France, Japan, Holland and Belgium. Represented by the PLMJ Foundation, Banco Santander Totta, Banco BIC, Transgas, among others.
