Nuno Sousa Vieira (Leiria, 1971) lives and works between Leiria and Lisbon. He is an Assistant Professor at FBAUL and an Integrated Researcher of the Painting Department at CIEBA. He holds a PhD in Painting from FBAUL.
His most recent exhibitions have taken place between Portugal and Brazil: Um entre nós (2022), Galeria Raquel Arnaud, São Paulo; Tenho a vista cansada (2022), Galeria Mul.ti.plo, Rio de Janeiro; Amanhã é muito tempo (2023), Águeda, as part of the exhibition cycle Desenho Como Pensamento; Pelo que não se vê (2023), Galeria do Centro de Arte e Imagem do IPT, Tomar; and Inhabitans ou imitar o andar (2023), Galeria 3+1, Lisbon.
In February 2023, he participated in the artist residency at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, Thread, Senegal.

Rita Gaspar Vieira (Leiria, 1976) is a visual artist, researcher, university professor and artistic director of the Villa Portela Arts Centre. She has a PhD in Fine Arts - Drawing and a Master's in Art Theory from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL), where she graduated in Fine Arts - Painting. She is currently a lecturer at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra and at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT). Throughout her career, Rita has participated in outstanding solo exhibitions, such as: Água Viva, Galeria das Salgadeiras, Lisbon (2024), Finis Terra at the Geosciences Museum, Lisbon (2022), Sobrevoo at the Belo-Galsterer Gallery (2022) and Colorido Pelo Sol at the Soares dos Reis Museum, in Porto (2019). Group exhibitions: Artebox at Galeria Banco das Artes, in Leiria (2023-24), and Transition Zones at Cordoaria Nacional, in Lisbon (2023-24). Rita has been honoured in several initiatives and has works in public and private collections, including the FLAD Collection, the PLMJ Foundation and the Câmara Municipal de Leiria.
