Maria Oliveira (Ponte de Lima) lives in Porto.
She was selected for Portuguese Emerging Art 2024 and the Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Award 2024, participating in a group exhibition at Clamp Gallery, NY. Her project Osso Espuma was chosen for an exhibition at Galerie Huit in Arles. In 2023, her work became part of the Municipal Art Collection of Porto and the PLMJ Foundation Collection. She has participated in events such as Kranj Foto Fest (Slovenia) and Transition Zones – Works from the PLMJ Foundation collection. In 2022, she was included in the Nature Future - Young European Photography exhibition (Prague and Berlin).
Between 2016-2017, she was an artist-in-residence at Ci.clo, where she developed the project Guardar o fogo para dias de pouca luz, featured in exhibitions at CPF, Portugal; Fotofestiwal, Poland; and Escola de Artes Visuais, NY. She has also exhibited at the FotoRio Festival (Rio de Janeiro, 2014) and Casa de Portugal (Macau, 2011).
