Maria Condado

Maria Condado was born in Lisbon (1981), where she lives and works. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon.
The artist has presented her work widely in Portugal, most notably in the exhibitions A Play of Boundaries, Galeria Carlos Carvalho, Lisbon, 2018; Uma loja, cinco casas, uma escola, Casa Bernardo, Caldas da Rainha, 2016; Ensaios sobre a (in)flexibilidade do natural - parte 2, Ministério do Ambiente, Lisbon, 2014; Onde é a China? Museu do Oriente, Lisbon, 2016; 16th Exhibition Programme, Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa 2009; Hangart 7, Salzburg, Austria, 2009; Vestígio, Pavilhão 28, Hospital Júlio de Matos, Lisbon, 2005; Selected II Prémio de Pintura do Banco Rothschild - Palácio das Galveias, Lisbon.
Her paintings are in various collections such as the PLMJ Foundation, the RAR Group, the Norlinda and José Lima Collections, and private collections in Portugal, France and Austria. Hortus is her artist's book published by Stolen Books Editora, Lisbon (2016).
