Manuel Vilarinho

Manuel Vilarinho (Lisbon, 1953) lives and works in Lisbon.
He graduated in Fine Arts - Painting from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts in 1984. From 1973 to 1980, he created and was in charge of visual arts sections in collectives and cultural centres in different parts of the country.
From 1977 to 2011, he taught Visual Arts in public schools and was responsible for the creation and management of Visual Arts Clubs in the schools where he taught. From 2000 to 2009, he taught painting theory and practice at the Arte Ilimitada - School of Visual Arts in Lisbon.
In 1992 he was invited to participate in the Latin Union Painting Prize. He has exhibited individually at Galeria Municipal de Sintra (2013); Giefarte, Lisbon (2014); Casa-Museu Medeiros e Almeida, Lisbon (2018); Museu de Aveiro / Santa Joana (2019); MU.SA - Museu das Artes de Sintra (2020); Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, Lisbon (2024).
