Luísa Correia Pereira (Lisbon, 1945-2009) lived in Rio de Janeiro from 1962 to 1968, where she worked on the organization of the IV Centenary of Rio de Janeiro. She studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris, attending the Librarian-Documentalist course, and worked at the Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques. She was awarded a scholarship by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation from 1972 to 1974, where she developed her printmaking work at Atelier Friedlaender (Paris), and again in 1979/1980.
Her notable solo exhibitions include Reflexos e Transparências at Galeria 111 (2023, Lisbon) and Entre o Visível e o Invisível at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado (2020, Lisbon). Among her group exhibitions are Diálogos Contemporâneos at Fundação Carmona e Costa (2021, Lisbon) and Arte Portuguesa Hoje at the Centro de Arte Manuel de Brito (2019, Algés).
Her works are part of collections such as FLAD, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the EDP Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, and the Norlinda and José Lima Collection.
