Júlia Ventura (Lisbon, 1952) lives and works in Lisbon and Amsterdam. She graduated in Painting from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts and has a degree in Video Art from Concordia University, Montreal. She exhibited for the first time in 1977 at the Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes and has since shown her work in various museums, such as: Stedelijk Museum, Foto's uit de Collectie: Robert Longo, Cindy Sherman, Júlia Ventura, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 1991; Two ways of life.
