João Noutel (Porto, 1971) lives and works between Lisbon and Porto. He has a degree in Law from the Lusíada University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Drawing and Printing Techniques from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
He is a member of the list of artists on the ANAMNESE project, an international digital platform for contemporary Portuguese art.
He is represented in several private collections in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, Dubai, the USA, Greece and India, exhibiting regularly since 2002.
He was part of the exhibition Variations Portugaise, on the panorama of Portuguese contemporary art, at the Centre d'Art Contemporaine Meymac, France, 2018.
João is the author of the project THE MOON PROGRAM.
In 2020, he produced four exclusive limited editions for the Serralves Museum and Navy Museum shop. In 2021, with Anabela Baldaque, he created the piece Matiné na Montanha for MUDE - Museum of Design and Fashion.
He is the author of the work Affections / Série Phenomena, part of the collection of the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
