João Francisco Vilhena

João Francisco Vilhena (Lisbon, 1965) has worked as a photojournalist and collaborated for newspapers and magazines in Portugal and abroad, including Revista Ler, Elle, Máxima, Marie Claire, Oceanos, Visão, Grande Reportagem, Colóquio-Letras, Der Spiegel, Le Monde and the cultural supplement DNA. He was photo editor of the weekly O Independente and the weekly Sol, and artistic director of Tabacaria, the literary magazine of Casa Fernando Pessoa. He has held several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. He has co-authored several books and served on the jury of several photography awards.
