Eduardo Matos (Rio de Janeiro, 1971) lives and works in Lisbon. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Porto. He is the editor of INland Journal, together with André Cepeda. He received a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation for Supporting Artistic Creation (2009). He was a resident artist at the Zé dos Bois Association in Lisbon in 2009/10 and a lecturer in the Plastic Arts Department of the School of Art and Design, Caldas da Rainha, of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
Founding member of Salão Olímpico (2003/06), an independent project run by artists who, in 2007, organised the Busca Pólos exhibitions together with the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art and the Vila Flor Cultural Centre, publishing the book Salão Olímpico 2003/06. Since 2001, he has organised and curated several group exhibitions.
