Ding Musa (São Paulo, 1979) is a multidisciplinary artist who works primarily with photography, but also with drawing, video and installation techniques. His works are devoid of theme and narrative in the traditional sense, proposing a contemplative experience, a return to the structural unity of the image and the matter of which it is composed. The artist's creative interests focus on concepts such as light, perception, space and geometric forms.
He participated in the BOSCH Tactile Art residencies in Cardiff, Wales, UK, in 2004, Carpe Diem Arte e Investigação, in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2012, and C.A.J., Artist Residency Programme, in Tokyo, Japan, in 2015.
His work has been included in the collections of the PLMJ Foundation; the Museums of Modern Art of El Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza; the Museum of Contemporary Art of Góias; the Museum of Contemporary Art of Paraná; the Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo; the Museum of Art of Rio Grande do Sul, among others.
