Dimas Macedo

Dimas Macedo studied at the Lisbon and Porto School of Fine Arts and was a student of the painter Lino António, with whom he studied painting, stained glass and ceramics. In 1956 he moved to Paris, where he continued his artistic work. He worked with stoneware and clay, using tubular forms and incorporating colour into the material. His works are usually anthropomorphic. He also created important public works.
