Daniel Malhão

Daniel Malhão (Lisbon, 1971) lives and works in Lisbon. He attended the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon and completed the Photography course at Ar.Co between 1995 and 2000, during which he participated in an exchange programme at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, supported by a FLAD scholarship. In 2005, he took part in the Gulbenkian Programme for Creativity and Artistic Creation - Photography. Malhão has exhibited his work in various solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, and is represented in numerous private and institutional collections. He was nominated for the 2007 edition of the BES Photo Prize. Since 2008, he has been active as a teacher in various cooperative and higher education art institutions.
